I saw a quote today.
‘You don’t have to change the world to be important’
As I read it I thought ‘how true’ but then I felt I needed to sit with that for just another moment. Within that moment my guides explained to me that the quote is incomplete.
‘You don’t have to change the world to be important, because you change the world just being in it’
You see, each and every one of you does already change the world. you change it by being. By existing as you are, in this moment, right now.
It seems like a sweet and empowering quote to start with but actually? It’s dis-empowering in its very nature.
You don’t have to change the world? No you don’t have to do anything but as soon as the words ‘you don’t have to’ come into play, it raises questions of should I be? It denotes a certain lack when no lack even exists.
Your very existence changes the world on a moment to moment basis. Your thoughts, deeds, intentions, actions, in action.
We are all equal. We are all important. There is no lack except for that which you perceive to exist.
You change your world with every thing you do. In turn that ripples out to the world around you, the people around you, the animals and plants and mother nature.
You are so so important, as are your words, deeds and actions. Change the world just by being in conscious existence. Because you already do.
